Public Relations

Art in Context, an extra curricular program of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, selects each year a specific theme connecting art and society and concludes its activities with exhibition and publication. This year's theme was Public Relations and the publication with the same title was launched on the occasion of the exhibition at the Cobra Museum (Art in Context exhibition 'Public Relations' runs from 30 May until 9 June 2014). Public Relations publication is "a timely bundle of notes, covering everything from the poetics to politics of contemporary art's PR while facing increasingly complex and complicit societal contexts' (FT).
