Nothing works but that works just fine

The world has a lot of waiting rooms. At the doctor, the dentist, everywhere, they're filled with stuff. The magazines and comic books take up a lot of space and then there's always that kids table in the corner. There's chairs, benches and tables, book shelves with pamphlets show you what to do and how to do it. Coat hangers as far as the eye can see.

Useful, this stuff, not decoration; you sit, you read, you wait, you stare at whatever's there. Crooked picture frames, the difference in chairs, the spacing of things that are there.
