alumnus R'm Aharoni & Diego Soifer exhibit 'A Place of Transit' at KASK, Gent

In A Place of Transit, R'm Aharoni & Diego Soifer install two video works: All You See, All You Hear, and Becoming Insected. Both pieces are biographical accounts on the relationship between transit and culture, as well as on the experience of migration. The phrase 'A place of transit', coined by Claude Lévi-Strauss, defines the Mise en Scéne. The exhibition space is the passage along which people move; a path where much Transit contradicts the Place. With this notion they invite the passers-by to dwell while moving, or either be moved while dwelling on the stories of immigration, migration, drama, music, voice, body, humans, insects, limits, transformation and birth.
