'Bobby Body Intruder' is a spatial installation by PhED (Philippa Elisabeth Driest). The work consists of a video that shows images of social housing projects that didn't fulfill its utopian dream. The urban 'Ville Nouvelle' architecture becomes an isolated uncanny setting in which personas start reacting to their surrounding and play around in those abandoned spaces. The metal structure inside the exhibition space seems to be a cast-out from a playground, which is stripped down from its function and now became a sculptural object. The atmosphere appears at first glance light and playful but almost instantly the viewer realizes that it is charged with much more harsh, eerie and uncanny subject matters.
