In addition to the required tuition fees, the Gerrit Rietveld Academie asks all students to contribute to the school fund, the Berlage Fund.

The Berlage Fund plays a very important role in funding additional efforts and special investments and expenses – matters that are important to education, but which are not, or only partially, subsidised by the government.

Because a little extra boost at the right time can often make a huge difference, the Berlage Fund is vital for individuals student as well as the academy as a whole.

The Fund’s money benefits the student population both directly and indirectly:

Each year, € 6,000 is made available for final examination projects. The student dean has an amount from the school fund at her disposal, which she can use to provide a small amount of financial support to individual students. Students can also arrange small (interest-free) loans through the Berlage Fund for unexpected expenses. Such requests are assessed in consultation with the accounts department and the dean.

The contribution to the fund is € 50 for students, but all contributions are welcome. You can transfer your contribution to ING bank number, mentioning the Berlage Fonds, Amsterdam.
