Nothing But Clouds

“Nothing but Clouds“ shows pictures of found objects and landscapes, which recall scenes from a science-fiction world or a dystopia. The title of the book is quotation from the film “Solaris“ (1972) by Andreij Tarkowski: “Nothing but Clouds“ - that is what the scientists can identify on the film that had been meant to be the proof of the existence of the foreign world, the planet “Solaris“. The story plays with the concepts of the unknown and the unconscious, it is a hint at an immaterial world of our thoughts and imagination. The photography of Kristina Jurotschkin creates a similar feeling.
