Graduation Show
Students of the departments Inter-Architecture, designLAB, Graphic Design, Fashion, Jewellery, TXT (Textile), Image & Language, Fine Arts, Photography, Glass, Ceramics, VAV (Moving Image) and DOGtime presented their graduation work(s) in a five day exhibition with presentations, screenings, performances and events.

Performance programme
During opening hours of the Graduation Show, the daily performance programme will be announced in the Gerrit Rietveld building.
Masterclass Kunstkritiek
The Masterclass by NRC-critic Lucette ter Borg is available for Dutch participants. Read more (in Dutch)
Guided tours
On Saturday and Sunday, several guided tours are offered by alumni. We ask a €5,00 fee for the Berlage Fund. The duration of the tours is approximately one hour.

Registration is not mandatory, but you can do so via buro[at]rietveldacademie.nl. Participants are asked to go to the shop in the entrance of the Rietveld building 10 minutes before the start of the tour. Here they can pay the €5,00 fee with cash or PIN.
GRA Awards
Every year, a GRA AWARD (Gerrit Rietveld Award) is given to promising graduates in the fields of Fine Arts and Design. Judged by an independent jury, they are chosen to take part in an special exhibition later this year. The GRA AWARDS winners were announced on Saturday 9 July, 4PM.

Jury announces winners GRA AWARDS 2016

Every year, the most promising graduates of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, according to an independent jury, are awarded for their final work(s) with a 'GRA Award'. The GRA Award consists of 1500 euro and the opportunity to take part in a special exhibition called SELECTED, that will take place this autumn. The winners of this year's GRA Awards are: Milena Naef (Glass department), Niels Hendriks (Inter-Architecture) and Sae Honda (Jewellery).

This year’s jury
The jury of the category Applied Arts was represented this year by editor-in-chief of MacGuffin magazine and researcher and critic in design history Kirsten Algera and Lernert & Sander who have been working together since 1997, producing a variety of work that is known for its aesthetics and humor. For the category of Autonomous Arts the jury consisted of independent cultural programmer and Van Eyck academy resident Radna Rumping and Johan Gustavsson & Nico Feragnoli, directors at 1646 in the Hague. The selection of the best Thesis was in the hands of visual artist and chair of the Society of Arts Barbara Visser, writer and NRC art critic Hans den Hartog Jager and Jeroen Boomgaard, professor of art and public space at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie.
Exhibition SELECTED 2016
All winners and nominees will exhibit their work once more during SELECTED, from Friday September 23 until Sunday October 2 at Looiersgracht60, Amsterdam. The opening of the exhibition is on Friday September 23.
