Guidelines for a collaborative proposal
Many thanks for showing interest in the Gerrit Rietveld Academie and its students. Before you make a concrete proposal, please read the short instructions for submitting a collaborative proposal below.
Please include the following components in your proposal:
A clear and concise project description,
including both a description of the subject matter and its practical implementation, the aim and the financial and other resources available for the project as a whole and for the student in particular.
The demonstrable educational value of the collaboration for the student,
including a direct relationship to future professional practice.
A clear platform.
Buro Rietveld uses the word ‘platform’ in its widest sense. The essence of the platform is that the scope of the assignment or project goes beyond merely the one-on-one collaboration between a student and a client.
A timeline,
or as clear an indication of this as possible the start and end date. If it is a large project taking place over an extended period of time, the number of hours per week the student will spend on the project will need to be specified.
Finally:
Clearly describe
what your project has to offer the students of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie.
Mutual cooperation and growth are key to the collaboration. The students of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie follow an intensive curriculum; therefore unfortunately we are not in a position to provide free solutions to people’s problems.
For offers of free materials, announcements or short-term projects
in which Buro Rietveld is not required to act as an intermediary, you can post a clear and concise announcement and send it to public@rietveldacademie.nl.
But please take into account that we cannot offer any guarantee that all announcements will reach the eyes and ears of our students and staff.
